About Trish B
Trish Barlowe is a ceramic artist in Lynchburg, Virginia. She creates one of a kind, handmade items out of clay. Her aim is to bring joy into daily life through her ceramic creations.
Trish’s handmade, wheel-thrown work has been described as useful, elegant, timeless, exciting, intentional, and beautiful! She enjoys experimenting with bright colors on natural clays as well as with different forms and techniques.
Since 2018, Trish has been teaching pottery classes at The Jackson Heights Art Studio in Lynchburg, Virginia. Before then she taught undergraduate nursing students. She is comfortable introducing complex and abstract concepts to beginners.
Trish has been a nurse since 2009 and is passionate about mental health for healthcare professionals. She believes that art and creativity can help decrease stress and improve wellbeing for those who work in stressful healthcare environments.
